Course Description:

Join Dr. Joe Iwanaga DDS, PhD, for an immersive half-day course in gross anatomy dissection focused on key structures relevant to clinical dental practice. Participants will have the unique opportunity to dissect fresh cadaveric specimens under the expert guidance of Dr. Iwanaga, gaining hands-on experience in exploring the intricacies of masticatory muscles, temporomandibular joint, floor of the mouth, facial artery in the oral cavity, retromolar area, palate, mental nerve, and more. Throughout the session, Dr. Iwanaga will seamlessly integrate anatomical insights with clinical applications, providing a comprehensive understanding of how anatomical knowledge informs dental practice.

Note: Please be aware that the same cadaver specimens will be used for both the Zygoma Course lab on 9/28 and the dissection lab on 9/29. Additionally, depending on class size, there may be 2-3 students per specimen.
