What to Expect

This two-day didactic course provides the biologic principles, diagnostic framework, and surgical planning concepts essential for predictable periodontal and bone reconstruction outcomes. Attendance at the didactic portion is required for those wishing to advance to the live-surgery component.

Preliminary Didactic Lecture Schedule

Day 1 – Friday, June 12, 2026

Morning

• Foundations of Periodontal & Peri-Implant Biology

• Wound healing principles and tissue behavior

• Diagnosis and classification of hard and soft tissue defects

Midday

• Treatment planning strategies for complex cases

• Decision-making: resective vs regenerative approaches

Afternoon

• Soft tissue management concepts

• Flap design, incisions, and suturing principles

• Microsurgical considerations and complication avoidance

Day 2 – Saturday, June 13, 2026

Morning

• Bone regeneration biology and graft selection

• Autogenous vs biomaterials: indications and limitations

Midday

Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR): membranes, fixation, and stability

• Khoury Technique: principles, indications, and case selection

Afternoon

• Managing complications in periodontal and bone reconstruction

• Case-based discussions and long-term outcome analysis

• Preparing for live surgery: clinical prerequisites and expectations

Travel Day

Sunday, June 14, 2026

Participants traveling to the live-surgery portion will transition from Las Vegas, NV to San Diego California in preparation for the clinical experience in Mexico.

Part II: Live Surgery Course (Tijuana, Mexico)

Dates: June 15–16, 2026 (Monday–Tuesday)

Format: Live surgical observation and instruction

• Completion of the Las Vegas didactic course is mandatory prior to attending

• The live-surgery portion will be organized and administered by Oasis Implant Academy
