Price - $1,499.00
About This Course
This course provides a practical, hands-on approach to overdenture treatment using the LOCATOR system while introducing clinicians to fixed restorative options with the LOCATOR FIXED platform. Participants will learn how to evaluate overdenture cases, select the appropriate attachment components, and complete chairside procedures that improve retention, stability, and patient comfort. Through lecture, demonstration, and typodont-based exercises, attendees will practice overdenture pickup techniques, seating and replacing attachments, and performing a simplified conversion workflow using LOCATOR FIXED for cases that require added rigidity or a transition toward a fixed solution. The program emphasizes clinical indications, restorative sequencing, and how to troubleshoot common challenges. By the end of the course, clinicians will understand how to confidently deliver overdenture restorations and when to incorporate LOCATOR FIXED to expand treatment options for full-arch patients.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify clinical indications for overdentures using LOCATOR attachments and when LOCATOR FIXED is appropriate for added stability.
- Select, assemble, and place LOCATOR components for overdenture retention.
- Perform chairside pickup and replacement of LOCATOR attachments on typodont models.
- Complete a simplified conversion exercise using LOCATOR FIXED to demonstrate the transition from removable to a more rigid full-arch solution.
- Troubleshoot common overdenture and attachment-related challenges to improve fit, function, and longevity.
